Emagispace®, a building block technology company with a physical product that revolutionizes the construction of interior spaces in which people live, work and play, has raised $5.06M in its Series B funding round led by Alpha Edison.
The funding underscores the momentum Emagispace achieved in 2017, a year that closed with key additions to the executive team, exciting product innovation, solid partnerships and solid revenue growth.
In its first year, Emagispace re-imagined the way organizations look at interior construction by offering a versatile, reusable building platform that can be constructed – and infinitely reconfigured and re-purposed – at a fraction of the time, effort and cost of traditional construction. The company was even named among the Top 10 World’s Most Innovative Companies in Live Events for 2018 by Fast Company.
“The Emagispace platform was conceptualized around the idea that building elegant, versatile interior space doesn’t have to come with a hefty price tag,” said Noel Maxam, co-founder and CEO of Emagispace. “The market potential for our products is significant, and this Series B investment from our partners including Alpha Edison, US News, Fischer Capital Investments, March Capital Partners and Jeremy Zimmer, CEO of UTA further validates the ingenuity of our building block technology and need to evolve beyond traditional stick-frame construction.”
The funding will allow Emagispace to bolster its current EmagiKit™ offerings, which allow unparalleled design flexibility by enabling fast, easy, non-disruptive assembly of products in the workspace. The first expansion will focus on the company’s Privacy Pod Plus, leveraging patented EmagiBlock technology that delivers reliable performance at a fraction of the cost of most phone booths on the market today.
The product will include all the same features as the company’s traditional Privacy Pod, but will also feature:
- Full insulation and sealed, double-paned door with soft closed hinges for ultimate sound resistance
- Dimmable light switch with indirect LED lighting to fight fatigue
- Adjustable work desk for personal comfort
“Thanks to this latest round of funding, we’ll be able to offer high-performance, cost-effective upgrade on the personal privacy solution that our customers already love,” said Maxam. “We worked closely with industry-leading companies and top dealers around the country to develop this exciting update that will further empower employees to be more productive and satisfied in the workplace.”
